Habitat For Humanity Build in Malaysia.

In Kampong Speu province, Cambodia, except for the latrines built in the village, each family has its own biosand water filter. “My kids have no more diarrhea” Bing Ben says about the benefits.   On the village level, SSF built the well for the whole community. The family owns a rice field, but the rice is not enough for them for more than six months. “Our oldest daughter that is 21 years old, is working in the garment factory, so we live off what she earns." Except for the rice, they sell sugar cane

Making a difference in people's lives and futures through volunteerism and charitable services throughout Northern California, Southeast Asia, and Latin America..


The Lives We Impact

and grow some chickens, but the income is still not enough to send the children to school. Here, if the family is poor and a child is 10 or 15 years old, they usually work. Child labor is very common among families in Kampong Speu province. These families have no other choice than to send their children to work. SSF and community leaders are now working together to provide better living conditions, improve education and skills, and build a stronger community.
